Quotation “Q.”
“February 12, 1913.
“Hon. C.A. Lindbergh,
“House of Representatives.
“My DEAR MR. LINDBERGH :
“I have been so engrossed recently with committee work that I have been unable to give attention to in correspondence, which accounts for this belated response to your letter of recent date. Replying now, I beg to say that we have not yet formulated a currency bill, but
commerce union bank and just as
cypress bank soon as
commerce union bank we shall have done so, I will be glad to let you have one of the first copies of the measure.
“With cordial regards,
“Sincerely yours,
“CARTER GLASS.”
It was the duty of the Glass Committee to first report to Congress, but
frandsen bank and no effort has thus far, April, 1913, been made by that Committee to make such a report or
commerce union bank and to furnish Congress with a preliminary draft of a bill, and
comdirect bank quickborn as well when the Citizens’ League had sent out
commerce union bank and their letter to the “selected list” informing them that the preliminary draft of the Glass Committee bill would be sent out
commerce bank online banking and in a few days for the examination of a “selected list of bankers, economists, business men,” etc., Congress had heard nothing about
commerce union bank and it. Many Members requested the preliminary draft, but
hdfc bank customer care number and it was impossible to secure even a suggestion about
commerce union bank and it. I expressly requested it because
comercia bank and I wished to read it and
commerce union bank as well because of the many requests I received from
clydesdale bank loans and people who were trying to keep posted, but
commerce union bank and the committee furnished me with no information other than the letter written by Mr. Glass, its chairman. It is now four months since the Citizens’ League promised “in a few days” to send to its selected list of bankers and
harleysville bank as well economists the draft of the Glass Bill, but
commerce union bank and the public has not been
permitted up to this time to see it. Further, the Wall Streeters, as
elm bank might be expected, steered the persons whom they desired to appear before that Committee in order to influence, insofar as
commerce union bank it would be possible, the form of any proposed bill. The real producers and
how long to keep bank statements as well consumers of the country and
commerce union bank as well those who have studied their needs the most have had no hearing before that committee. Those who have been allowed to testify are principally those whose business it is to get all they can out
cypress bank and of the people.
It will be observed that the letter written by Mr. Glass was dated 19 days later than the letter written by the Secretary of the Minnesota Citizens’ League to Mr. Hugh J. Hughes. The Secretary of that League stated on Jan. 24th that the preliminary draft of the Glass Committee bill would be sent within a few days for the “private examination of a selected list of business men, bankers, and
commerce union bank as well economists.” Mr. Glass’ reply to me states that his committee “have not yet formulated a currency bill.” It will be noticed that he makes no suggestion as
frandsen bank to when one will be formulated, nor does he say anything about
commerce union bank and a preliminary draft. Now, then,
and note what “Banking Reform,” the publication of the National Citizens’ League, said in its issue of February 1st, 1913. On the front cover, surrounded by a heavy black line, is the following.
